Ocean Nourishment Corporation is an ethical organisation established with the dual goals of managing planet wide greenhouse gas concentrations and providing protein rich food for malnourished populations.

POSITION STATEMENT

The oceans have the largest capacity to absorb carbon, compared to both the atmosphere around the Earth and the Earth itself. The oceans hold 40,000 gigatonnes of carbon, while the atmosphere currently stores less than 1000 gigatonnes. Currently man's activities add less than 10 gigatonnes to the atmosphere each year which is resulting in rapid climate change.
Increasing the storage of carbon in the oceans represents a transitional solution to mitigate the potentially catastrophic effects caused by carbon dioxide emissions, pending the full development of a low carbon global community.
